Kismet is a 5 month old Heinz 57 mix. Kismet (which means fate or fortune) was brought to a city shelter after suffering an injury which broke his hind leg. After having him there for several weeks the decision was made for euthanasia. A collie rescue volunteer was asked to take him, essentially to save his life. Here he is, waiting for a loving home to share his fortune. He is a good puppy, learning quickly how to live in a house. He gets along great with many different dogs, loves a good romp and doesn't let his hard luck past get him down. He will likely be a fairly large dog but not a giant. He is learning housebreaking quickly.

Housetrained, Current on all vaccines and groomed regularly. Very healthy. Loves to be outside. Would be perfect as a family dog, or with someone who is active outdoors. Loves to go to the Park, Hiking, etc. Rescued from the Shelter a couple of years ago.

UPDATE: Maxie was pulled from the shelter and now in a foster home. He is enjoying the company of 5 other dogs and being a housedog. His senior blood panel is normal. He is housebroken and a gentle senior sweetheart. Contact Maile at mailejewell@yahoo.com to adopt. Maxie is looking for a new home. His family lost their home, and had to give up their two companions. If you have a safe spot for an oldster, he would love to come home with you. No stairs please, or pools. This sweet boy knows basic commands and how to "speak". He does an endearing little bunny hop to get attention too. Oldsters do not do well in shelters,and Maxie is very lonely now, so please give him a new chance with you.
