Bailey 1936 Adopted - New Photo!!!!!!!
10 ? yr old F Rough Merle Sable
This beautiful girl just came into rescue from the desert. She needs a good grooming, health assessment, and is not available at this time. She appears to be deaf, but is mobile for her age and loves dog cookies, and pets.

Blaze - Adopted! New Family Photo
4 yr old M Rough Sable
This sweet boy came to SCR from Atascadero where he had been living with someone without a permanent home. As a result he has ended up in the shelter several times over the past years. He now needs the security of a forever home.

Diego #1818
7 yr old M Rough Sable Merle
Diego came to SCR via Modjeska Ranch Rescue and their vet who took him in as his family couldn't keep him as they had to move to an apartment. They wanted him euthanized but it was too much money. The vets don't euthanize healthy dogs anyway. He is spry and happy and loves life and is only 7 years old, although he acts MUCH younger. He would probably love the company of another playful dog. Diego is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and ready for a family committed to keep him for his lifetime. He had always been an outside dog but is now a "housedog" and doing well with his training - no accidents in 2 weeks. Diego has a bit of a Sheltie look and could be a combination of both Collie and Sheltie or even a purebred oversized Sheltie. He is about 50# and ADORABLE!!!! His name SHOULD BE "Mr. Personality". He loves his people and is a velcro dog to boot. If you need a best friend, then Diego is the dog for you.

Fabio #1902 - Adopted!
2.5 yr old M Rough Sable Merle
Fabio has lived his entire short life with one man who is moving out of state and could not take him along. Fabio has been an outside dog, so we are learning whether he is housebroken or not. He loves to play and does well with other dogs. He runs like the wind and seems to be a happy boy. He would do best with an active family and where he is not left for long hours alone. Pre approved adopters are requested to e-mail your super-duper application. Fabio would love to be in his forever home by the New Year!!

Gracie #1838
4 or 5 yr old F Collie mix
This pretty girl is probably half Collie and half Shepherd with a Collie temperament. She is very sweet and even knows some basic commands. We just pulled her from a San Diego shelter and she is in the process of being evaluated. Gracie will soon be going to a foster home.

Jackie 1576
7 yr old F Rough Collie/Husky Mix
Jackie is a beautiful girl, and has learned to trust and bond with people. She would be best without children or cats, and does ok with most dogs. Like the Husky breed she is an escape artist and has to have a very secure enviornment to keep her safe

Maya #1918 - New Photo
8 yr old F Border Collie/Aussie/ maybe Collie or Sheltie
When Eva went to East Valley to check out this dog for Sheltie Rescue, she realized she wasn't a Sheltie or a Collie but her temperament was so friendly and happy she pulled her anyway!! It was the day before she was to be put to sleep. She had a tumor on her toe, so she went directly to the vet. Her bloodwork was great so her tumor was removed and a dental done. Maya has gained almost 20 pounds since coming into rescue and is now a good weight. She acts like she is about 7 years old and her teeth look the same....they are beaautiful. Since there was a little cloudiness in her eyes, the vet aged her at 10 - she doesn't act this at all and we don't believe it to be exact. Maya is a tri color with splashes of blue merle throughout her coat. She is stunning! We are guessing she is Border Collie and Aussie but of the laid back version who loves attention and people. Everyone LOVES this dog!!! Maybe we'll change our rescue's name to Southland Sometimes Collie Rescue! Maya is a doll and will make a great addition to your family. Don't miss out on this dog. Email for an application and to get approved.

Puck #1839
3 yr old M Rough Merle Headed White
Puck just came in to rescue due to his family sadly having a job change and leaving the country. He lived with a Jack Russell Terrier. Puck was born 12/29/08. He is a super "people dog" and just wants to be wherever you or your family members are. We'll post more info as we learn about him.

Shelby 1797 MEDICAL HOLD
12 yr old F Purebred Rough Mahagony Sable
Just into rescue and needs to have her medical needs met.

Teddy #1917 -Foster Home Needed
18 months yr old M Shep mix
Unfortunately, Teddy's adoptive home did not work out. He missed having another dog to play with. Super Sweet, big, young pup saved from Death Row at Devore shelter. He is active, playful, friendly and outgoing. We suspect that his great, great, great cousin once-removed, was a collie. Amilio at Collie Haven says, he is "very cute and has lots of energy! He's a big puppy; at a perfect age to establish loyalty with his forever family. He is work in progress, but will be a great companion for someone." (However, due to his size and energy level, he should only go to a home with children 10 and up.) Teddy needs a family who has the time and resolve to get through the remainder of his "puppy stage."

Tei Aroha 1835
2 yr old M Purebred White Factored Sable Rough
This is a gorgeous full spirited large Collie. Tei needs a dog savy, experienced adopter who will train him and in return he will be an awesome Collie. No small children please ,as they may be knocked over in play. This Collie boy has a jubilant personalty and is a jewel in the rough.

Utah #1814
4 yr old F Aussie/Collie/Shepherd mix ?
Are you looking for an Agility Dog? How about an active, loving family member? Lady, renamed Utah, was a rescue out of state as SCR was helping an Animal Control Officer concerned about the fate of this cute young collie/shepherd/aussie mix girl....maybe some Border Collie too. Sheltie Rescue of Utah transported her to us in Las Vegas where she was temporarily residing before being moved to So. California. She is smart and has learned about dog doors already too. Utah LOVES PEOPLE and attention and would be great with older kids although she would probably knock over the little ones. She is very puppyish and active and loves to play with her dog friends. Her birthday was told to us as being 12/7/2007. She was relinquished to the shelter by her family .. reason unknown. Utah is a very active girl, constantly on the go. She probably wasn't given any obedience training and will need to go to "dog school", but she learns quickly. Utah comes instantly when her name is called. She would do best in a cat-free home as she tends to bark and want to chase them when she sees them on walks.
