Since SCR acquired Collie Haven through the generosity of our benefactors and fellow collie lovers, William and Fay, in the spring of 2000, it has been an ongoing labor of love, with renovations, improvements and remodeling. Collie Haven is a key part of SCR operations and also acts as our corporate headquarters.

Located in Riverside, CA and licensed as a Kennel 1 Rescue facility, Collie Haven enables us to house and care for up to 10 foster collies at a time. Fulltime caretakers live in the house and love and care for the dogs as if they were their own. The house and property consist of one full acre, which has been fenced and cross-fenced in several places, providing turn-out areas for several dogs, either separately or together.

Several special needs Collies, such as the blind and the oldsters, have resided at Collie Haven while awaiting permanent placement in special homes. A very special few have enjoyed spending their final years there in a loving, home-type atmosphere.
